Week 7: Sunday and Monday Night Football Bets
We have given you a few of our favorite picks for Sunday’s games in week 7. Now we are going to provide you with our Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football picks. These are always the biggest televised games of the week. The schedule makers, at the beginning of the year, felt these games would be great games for week 7. It turns out, neither game really looks all that enticing. Here are our picks:
Indianapolis Colts @ New Orleans Saints -13.5
The Colts have been terrible. In fact, they are the first team in the league to lose six games. On Sunday, they are going to make it 7. Curtis Painter can move the ball, but to drive a team down the field when needed is a little of a problem. Indianapolis does not know if Peyton Manning will return, and at this pace, they may as well shut him down. The Colts, along with the Rams and Dolphins are fighting for the #1 pick, as of now. Sean Peyton and his Saints are 4-2, but coming off a loss to Tampa Bay. The Saints offense is one of the best in the league. New Orleans at home is never a bad bet. In the end, New Orleans puts up a bunch of points, and the defense creates nightmares of the Colts all night long. We are betting the Saints -13.5 over the Colts for Sunday Night Football.
Baltimore Ravens -9 @ Jacksonville Jaguars
It’s interesting to see why this game is even on the schedule for a Monday Night. what this game does to is pit Ray Rice against Maurice Jones-Drew, two of the leagues top running backs. The Ravens are 4-1, and in first place within the AFC North. Jacksonville has lost five straight games, and third in the AFC South. If it wasn’t for the Colts, the Jaguars would be in the basement. Look for the Ravens offense to get Joe Flacco going against a questionable Jacksonville defense. The Jaguars offense has been the worst in the AFC. Look for that to hold true, especially against a rough and tough Baltimore defense. When it comes down to it, the Ravens are a much better football team. Baltimore will win this game by double digits. Bet the Ravens -9 over the Jaguars on Monday Night Football.
