2011 NFL Week 7 Pick and Prediction
It’s time for week seven of the National Football League. We had a pretty decent week five, and expect more of the same for week seven. It’s been a fun season thus far, and with the slate on tap for this weekend, we expect much more of the same. Here are a few of the best bets for week 7 of the National Football League season.
San Diego Chargers -1 @ New York Jets
The San Diego Chargers and New York Jets get together in one of the best games of the week. The Chargers are 4-1 and in first in the AFC West. The Jets won Monday Night, but are 3-3 on the season. San Diego in this one will be able to spread the ball, due to the Jets defense not being as sharp as years past. Look for Phillip Rivers to pass the ball away from Darrelle Revis in this one. In the end, San Diego goes on the road and wins this game. Bet the Chargers over the Jets.
Atlanta Falcons +3.5 @ Detroit Lions
The Atlanta Falcons will head to Detroit to take on the Lions. Atlanta is 3-3 and in third place in the NFC South. Detroit is in second place in the NFC North, coming off their first loss of the season. Look for Atlanta to get going in this one. They are a 3.5 point underdog on the road. We feel Matt Ryan and the Falcons will figure out the Lions defense, and come away with a road win. Look for the Lions losing streak to get pushed to two games.
Washington Redskins +1.5 @ Carolina Panthers
The Washington Redskins are underdogs on the road. Sure, the Redskins have problems at quarterback, but Carolina has yet to find a way to win close games. The Panthers have been close the last several weeks, but fell short in the end. Look for the Redskins to cause Cam Newton turnover problems in this one. We are betting on the Washington Redskins +1.5 over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
St. Louis Rams +13 @ Dallas Cowboys
The Rams looked awful last week on the offensive side. They are the worst offensive team in all of the NFL. Dallas is also coming off a loss. Look for the Cowboys to win this game, but St. Louis, with the addition of Brandon Lloyd will look better offensively. This game will end up a one possession game. Bet the St. Louis Rams +13 over Dallas Cowboys.
Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings +9
Call us crazy in this game, but the Minnesota Vikings are going to cover their 9 point underdog spread. The Packers are the best team in the NFL, and the Vikings, well, they have been bad. In saying that, look for Christian Ponder to have a great game in his first start as the quarterback. This game will provide quite a bit of points, but in the end Green Bay wins, while Minnesota covers. Bet the Vikings.
