2011 NFL Week 4 Picks and Predictions
With three weeks of the 2011 NFL season now finished up, we’re heading into week 4 of the season with multiple teams having quite a few question marks surrounding them. While the action on the field has been interesting through three weeks, the NFL betting has been even more intriguing as well.
There have been quite a few shockers (the Detroit Lions at 3-0, the Buffalo Bills at 3-0, and the Philadelphia Eagles at 1-2), but there have also been some excellent betting options. The same goes for week 4 of the NFL season, and we have some great picksĀ for the NFL for this week as well. We’ll get right into the action and take a look at some great NFL bets for this week.
Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals
How shocking is it that the Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals is one of my favorite picks of the week? These two teams were destined to be at the bottom of the league before the season kicked off, but when all was said and done at the end of week 3, we had a Bills team sitting at 3-0 and coming off of a huge upset of the New England Patriots, and a Bengals team who is 1-2 and has lost the two games by a combined seven points.
The Bills have been one of the most impressive teams in the league to this point, and I’d be shocked if the Bengals defense will be able to stop Ryan Fitzpatrick and the passing game, or Fred Jackson and the running game. The Bills offense is hitting on all cylinders currently, and the whole city is behind them right now.
I’m betting on the Buffalo Bills to cover the spread of -3, and I’ll be betting on it at BetOnline.
Indianapolis Colts at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Colts are off to one of the worst starts in the Peyton Manning era, but this season can’t really be considered the “Peyton Manning era” as he’ll be out at least a few more months from neck surgery. That is exactly where the Colts issues start, as they have struggled to get anything going without Manning.
The Bucs on the other hand have been playing very well, and after losing a tough one to the Detroit Lions (who are 3-0 as we mentioned above), they have now won two in a row, with the most recent being against the Atlanta Falcons. Don’t sleep on Tampa Bay for the remainder of this season, and I love the bet on them against the Colts on Monday Night Football this week.
The Buccaneers are favored by -10 and they are my pick.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Atlanta Falcons are coming off of a tough road loss to the Buccaneers 16-13, but have been up and down this year overall. They started off the season losing to the Bears 30-12 in a rough game, and then went on to beat the Philadelphia Eagles and Michael Vick 35-31 in week 2. The end result after week 3? A 1-2 record with quite a few question marks for the Atlanta Falcons.
The Seahawks on the other hand have been a bit of a disappointment. While they are sitting at 1-2, they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 24-0 beat down, and also lost to the San Francisco 49ers 33-17. Their lone win came in their home opener against the Arizona Cardinals 13-10, but it wasn’t an impressive win to say the least. While I do understand that the Falcons are on the road in this match-up, I see them taking this one down by a touchdown.
The Falcons are favored by -4.5 and I’m picking them to cover against the Hawks’.
Recap of My Week 4 Bets
- Buffalo Bills -3
- Tampa Bay Bucs -10
- Atlanta Falcons -4.5
